Snarl, cat. Scream, stallion.<br \/>\nI am all of you.<\/p>\n<p>And you, you poor, wounded boy,<br \/>\nyou green-eyed pup,<br \/>\nI loved you in my way,<br \/>\nbut not in yours.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;She&#8217;s a fine girl,&#8221; your father said,<br \/>\nand I wonder if I ever could have been.<\/p>\n<p>My wagon trundles away, and I leave you<br \/>\nall I have: a smile that weeps<br \/>\nlike sugar glaze on a cake left in the sun.<br \/>\nI will let you think me happy. I sing goodbye.<\/p>\n<p><em>Ivy sing ivory, rosebud and thorn.<br \/>\nMan-child bewildered, abandoned, forlorn.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I see too much. I do not want<br \/>\nto witness those blue dresses flapping,<br \/>\nluring you and your hapless, helpless brothers<br \/>\nto forever chase their blue.<\/p>\n<p><em>White water, still water, leaves tumble down.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Primrose blooms fall like snow, soft on the ground.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Howl, wolf. Snarl, cat. Scream, stallion.<br \/>\nBird, fish, lizard, gnat,<br \/>\nI am all of you.
