Now when they had seen Him,<\/em> <\/p>\n Christmas Time<\/strong> Adam was working in the barn since a few minutes, when a strange noise drawn his attention.<\/p>\n Adam continued to brush Sport, when he heard yet the sound.<\/p>\n Someone was crying.<\/p>\n Softly, Adam climbed towards the hayloft, and seen his little brother, sitting in a corner, knees against his chin.<\/p>\n -\u201cJoe, why are you crying? Is because of Pa?\u201d<\/p>\n Joe did not answer, and even did not look at his brother. Well, I have to be diplomatic with him.<\/p>\n -\u201cJoe, how can you cry at this period of the year? You love this time before Christmas, thinking to the gifts and…\u201d<\/p>\n Adam\u2019s words intensified the tears of Joe. Well, Bravo big brother, do you speak about to be tactful in your approach of this poor little brother? Great result, you can be proud of you.<\/p>\n -\u201cWell, you know Joe, sometimes problems seem very difficult,\u00a0 but with a good analysis you will see there is always a solution. Joe was a spoiled child, and the most of the time Joe and Him, had a lot of conflicts. The difference of age made their relationships difficult. But Adam loved this little boy more than it was possible to tell. However, it was time for Joe to learn lesson to become more responsible.<\/p>\n -\u201cI understand Adam. Once again I forgot the purpose, and I acted without thinking to the others, but just my own pleasure. Now I would like to be in the past and not having bought these candies for Kathy and her sister, and neither this big bag of marbles to share with Mitch\u201d.<\/p>\n Adam suddenly watched his brother differently. His generosity surprised him, he had to admit it.<\/p>\n -\u201cyou are less selfish that\u00a0 I thought Joe. Why did you share with your friends?\u201d<\/p>\n -\u201cYou know, Kathy and her little sister have rarely the possibility to eat candies, because their mother is all alone to raise them. They lost their father last year, when you were yet in Boston. And for the marbles, I gave the half to Mitch, because currently his parents have no luck with their farm, and not enough money to buy futilities like marbles. I thought it was a good idea to buy these things, since Pa gave me the dollar. But I forgot my family and the gifts for Christmas\u201d.<\/p>\n -\u201cBut you were in the spirit of Christmas Joe,\u00a0 by sharing with your friends in need. Don\u2019t you think?\u201d<\/p>\n -\u201cyou\u2019re not mad at me, Adam \u201c<\/p>\n -\u201cMaybe i’m going to surprise you but I\u2019m proud of you Joe. Since I\u2019m back I thought you were a little \u201cbrat\u201d, selfish. And now I have another look on you. You grow up, and you become a good boy, Joe.”<\/p>\n Joe stood up and came towards Adam. Adam opened his arms and hugged his brother.<\/p>\n -“I am not very nice with you Adam, and I know that. But I love you, and I\u2019m glad you’re home now. I promise to be better”.<\/p>\n Adam put his right hand in his pocket.<\/p>\n -” Look Joe, I have a silver dollar. I won it, Saturday even…well no matter.\u00a0\u00a0It’s for you. I hope you will find nice presents for Hoss and Pa”.<\/p>\n -” And for you, Adam. Thank you very much.”<\/p>\n -“you’re welcome, Joe”.<\/p>\n
