Summary:<\/strong> The choices a man makes in his youth may be called into question over time.<\/p>\n Rating K\u00a0 \u00a0221 words<\/p>\n <\/p>\n To the One<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n In the verdant dawn of springtime<\/p>\n I think of you and wonder<\/p>\n If May is still your favorite month<\/p>\n And if you still remember<\/p>\n The time I brought you daisies<\/p>\n And you wore them in your hair.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In the shimmered haze of summer<\/p>\n I think of you and wonder<\/p>\n Where Life\u2019s path has led you<\/p>\n And whether Love has found you<\/p>\n Do you have children at your knee?<\/p>\n And are their eyes as blue?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In the golden glow of autumn<\/p>\n I think of you and wonder<\/p>\n Which books you might be reading now<\/p>\n And how many you have written<\/p>\n Do you still take your tea with cream?<\/p>\n Have all your dreams come true?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In the purple shades of winter<\/p>\n I think of you and wonder<\/p>\n If time has slowed your lively step<\/p>\n And turned your hair to silver<\/p>\n Do you recall me fondly, dear?<\/p>\n Or think of me at all?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n When I view my final sunset<\/p>\n I\u2019ll think once more and ponder<\/p>\n The life I might have had<\/p>\n If you and I had never parted<\/p>\n My lofty goals so long achieved,<\/p>\n Were they worth the cost?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In the vastness of forever<\/p>\n I\u2019ll have no cause to wonder<\/p>\n Endless sleep holds no regret<\/p>\n For things that might have been;<\/p>\n And if there is a Heaven<\/p>\n I won\u2019t miss you anymore.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
