Look what I found<\/p>\n
By the ocean sea,<\/p>\n
A whole new world<\/p>\n
Waiting there for me.<\/p>\n

And that world was tied<\/p>\n
To a maiden fair:<\/p>\n
To a captain\u2019s daughter<\/p>\n
With a playful air.<\/p>\n

It was merely chance<\/p>\n
That I saw her there,<\/p>\n
The maiden dancing<\/p>\n
With the chestnut hair.<\/p>\n

Her eyes were bright<\/p>\n
And her laughter gay<\/p>\n
As a schooner tossing<\/p>\n
A sea foam spray.<\/p>\n

She was wild and free<\/p>\n
As the ocean tide<\/p>\n
And her heart was deep<\/p>\n
As the main* is wide.<\/p>\n

She danced on the sand<\/p>\n
To a secret tune<\/p>\n
That only the gulls<\/p>\n
and the seal folk knew.<\/p>\n

She stole my soul<\/p>\n
With her siren\u2019s spell<\/p>\n
As a frigate caught<\/p>\n
In a tempest\u2019s swell.<\/p>\n

I was lost to her<\/p>\n
To that beauty fine,<\/p>\n
To that maiden romping<\/p>\n
Near the deep blue brine*.<\/p>\n

And made me richer<\/p>\n
Than the kings of yore.<\/p>\n
