And your warm presence once lent me support.<\/p>\n

Oh brother mine,<\/p>\n

When the darkness creeps all the closer,<\/p>\n

And the light is so very far away.<\/p>\n

I remember the days when we fought together,<\/p>\n

Side by side.<\/p>\n

I remember the days when we played together,<\/p>\n

Author’s Note:<\/p>\n

I just wrote this last month for a writing challenge on Bonanza Boomers. I was given the song title “I Sure Do Miss You Now” by Pure Prairie League and had to write a story or a poem based solely off of the title. This is what came to mind. I actually made myself cry a little while writing it, I’m a little embarrassed to say.<\/p>\n
