Summary: \u00a0<\/span>This was a poem I wrote shortly after Pernell Roberts death, remembering his accomplishments and wonderful character. It’s not sad! Those who love Adam or Pernell or any of his other characters will understand exactly what I’m writing about. Sweet dreams!<\/p>\n

Rated:<\/span>\u00a0K+ \u00a0WC \u00a0200<\/span><\/p>\n

We Dance<\/strong><\/p>\n

I knew a man of warm, strong voice<\/strong><\/p>\n

Who spoke for freedom, fought for choice<\/p>\n

Walked placidly amid the noise<\/p>\n

And deeply touched our hearts.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

His visage still in pictures seen<\/p>\n

Rakish, angry, sweet, serene<\/p>\n

The smile, the brows,\u00a0the strength,\u00a0the lean<\/p>\n

Charge us to remember.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

His essence moves in shrouds of mist<\/p>\n

As sun warmed earth meets evening\u2019s kiss<\/p>\n

And in our hearts his spirit drifts<\/p>\n

He\u2019s bound by earth no longer.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But sometimes in the moonlight\u2019s gleam<\/p>\n

I sleep, caressed by silver beams<\/p>\n

And there, within my sweetest dream<\/p>\n

He comes to me.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He speaks no words; he knows my mind<\/p>\n

His hands still strong \u2013 his face still kind<\/p>\n

Witness to the peace we find<\/p>\n

In silence.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Too soon light creeps past the sill<\/p>\n

He lingers on with me, but still<\/p>\n

He must take leave, but says he will<\/p>\n

Return to me.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He in those final moments, stands<\/p>\n

He gently takes my waiting hand<\/p>\n

And swaying to sweet memory\u2019s band…<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

WE DANCE<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
