My name was Cassandra, I was 32 and I was living on the French Riviera…. It was summer and I have decided, on this day, I would like to go swimming. I have bought a new BIKINI, pink and brown. I was feeling pretty and I would like try to attract a young man. On the beach there were many people, many families with children, fathers who were playing with sons and daughters. I was laying down under the sun and closed my eyes. It was hot , so I went to the water; it was very cold. I couldn’t go into the water, so I came back towards the sand : suddenly I started to feel bad, I was dizzy and I fell down unconsciously. How long? I didn’t know, I could hear noises, maybe voices. Then I had the funny impression, I was beeing carried by somebody. A strong man was holding me.. I could hear a deep male voice: it was so strange to me , I knew this woice… No, it couldn’t be possible\u00a0? I couldn’t believe it.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0But what ‘s the meaning of that ? Why is there a half-naked woman in my house? Who are you ?<\/span><\/p>\n

I was shaken by a strong hand , I decided, now I could open my eyes. I wasn’t anymore on the beach, there was no more blue sky above my head\u00a0; I was under a blanket. No doubt\u00a0; I was in a home, and I knew that house. OMG, I was on the Ponderosa\u00a0? But how\u00a0? Why\u00a0? I didn’t understand anything but it became clear that Ben Cartwright had carried me on his arms in the house.<\/span><\/p>\n

I stood up and without thinking, I hugged him with energy and gave him a kiss.<\/span><\/p>\n

“oh, hallo Ben, there you are, I cannot believe this; I am with you on the Ponderosa;<\/span><\/p>\n

-Who are you, and how do you know my name?<\/span><\/p>\n

-You are my hero, my favorite figure of Bonanza: My name is Cassandra, I come from France and know everything about you and your sons.. But you’re my favorite… Even if I’m young, you’re the man I dream to marry…, I screamt with joe and excitment.<\/span><\/p>\n

-Wait a minute.. Wait a minute. I need some explanation. First I would like to know why you have so few clothes on you. DO you think , this is a normal way to go.<\/span><\/p>\n

-I carry bikini: oh, bikini, I’m so sorry., I blushed. I was embarrassed and I realised where I was and when it did occur.<\/span><\/p>\n

– please , Take my jacket. It will be more decent…, he replied.<\/span><\/p>\n

-Oh thank you Ben’, I said and rolled myself in the big warm jacket. I could already feel the warm on my shoulders. But he stopped me by putting his hand on my waist.<\/span><\/p>\n

-Wait a minute. Name is Mr. Cartwright: I don’t allow you to call me that way….<\/span><\/p>\n

-You are right, well, I’m sorry, but I can’t help it; \u00a0I’m always speaking about you, and I always say Ben… Sorry Mr Cartwright… Oh it sounds strange…<\/span><\/p>\n

-Maybe it sounds strange, but you have to… Oh; Stop looking at me like that….<\/span><\/p>\n

– I’m so impressed… I’m with Ben Cartwright, the singer of Bonanza…<\/span><\/p>\n

– what is Bonanza?, he asked with a puzzled face.<\/span><\/p>\n

– The series in which you have the leading role”.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ben was about to loose his patience. I could see his eyes, I could see his face becoming tensed.<\/span><\/p>\n

” That’s enough. Stop with that nonsense. I don’t understand anything and that makes me very angry and frustrated.”<\/span><\/p>\n

I started to cry. I was tired, I didn’t absolutely nothing at all and Ben also nothing; this was too much for me. Ben noted my tear and calmed down.<\/span><\/p>\n

” oh I’m sorry, mademoiselle. I didn’t want to make you cry.<\/span><\/p>\n

He sat down beside me and put his hand on my shoulder. I enjoyed the gesture and put my head on his chest; I have dreamt of it so often. I didn’t even know what I was doing here and how I had landed here. But that was not the most important, right now I was close to Ben and that was just magic.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Are you still angry ?<\/span><\/p>\n

-I’m not angry. I just want to understand…\u00a0\u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n

Maybe there was nothing to understand. I just wanted to enjoy this time… 100 ideas were coming to my mind…. It was funny, he had the same face as he had at the beginning of the episode, when the chief had made a gift. You know, in Love me Not. The indian girl. That was great…. A remake. But I could see his eyes were full of questions; and I liked it… I loved him so much…<\/span><\/p>\n

-Do you know my favorite episode ?<\/span><\/p>\n

-But what are you saying ?<\/span><\/p>\n

-Season 5, \u00ab\u00a0Love me not\u00a0\u00bb.. It’s my favorite episode… Anjanette Comer was just perfect…<\/span><\/p>\n

-I don’t know this woman…<\/span><\/p>\n

– She’s the woman who played Joan. You don’t remember Joan ? I can’t believe it… You have to know Joan…<\/span><\/p>\n

-I know Joan, it’s a good friend… But how do you know her ?<\/span><\/p>\n

-I said it to you, Ben, oh sorry \u2026… Mr Cartwright\u00a0\u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n

Oh he gave me one\u00a0look, one of the famous Cartwrights look, and I had to admit it, it made me feel…. wahooo, I was very happy… I knew, he was more and more frustrated; even if he tried to keep control… I knew him… I had never been a push-over before but that little game was very funny.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Ok, I will try to stay calm and tell you once more…”<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Oh oh, now\u00a0he was speaking with a calm voice, that meant, he was very angry…. And I loved it…. I wasn’t a naughty girl, I had never done anything bad… But I loved to see Ben loosing patience…. I loved that… It made flip flop in my stomach , and that was a great sensation…. Maybe I would be able to test Ben… Maybe, maybe not ? For shure I would…..<\/span><\/p>\n

“Ok once more time… I would like to know, what you’ve\u00a0doing here…. And I want an answer, right now…<\/span><\/p>\n

-I have said all what I know… But you don’t want to believe me…<\/span><\/p>\n

-Shall I have to believe it ? Oh listen to me, mademoiselle… If you know me so good, you certainly know, what I think about lie by omission… Do you know my son Joseph ? He could tell you a whole chapter about it and about CONSEQUENCES.<\/span><\/p>\n

-Oh yes, I know Joe and I know about consequences.. But I don’t lie… I won’t dare to lie to you, Ben, euh Mr Cartwright…<\/span><\/p>\n

-You’re not telling lies, right now, with your incredible story ? I’m a very patient man, mademoiselle, but I’m about to loose my calm. YOu’re about to get a “good talking to”.<\/span><\/p>\n

-Am I ? Really ? But why. I don’t\u00a0lie… I’m just a Bonanza fan… and beside, I didn’t even try to tell you that I would spit on your mother’s shadow\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n

-That’s it, mademoiselle.\u00a0\u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n

I couldn’t believe it.. For shure I would have something extraordinary, a great bonanzas memory…<\/span><\/p>\n

I would never feel the effects on a \u00ab\u00a0very necessary talking\u00a0\u00bb with Ben Cartwright; because the alarm clock rang and killed my dream… Too bad.<\/span><\/p>\n
