Joes mind is totally incoherent, but makes total sense in how everything comes together. Totally logical!

I know you won’t see this response because you weren’t signed in when you reviewed, but, just in case…I want to thank you for seeing the “sense” in his wanderings through delirium. 🙂

Interesting story, Freya. Reminds me of the dream sequence in Bushwacked. Well done.

Author’s Response:

Thank you! Now that you mention it… Similar. Yes. I hadn’ thought of that episode. Thanks for pointing it out! 🙂

  1. To read this story once and once again, it’s never, ever enough. It’s a stunningly heart touching and so emotional story. One of those I never won’t tired to read and read and read. Joe’s hat, the grizzly….OMG what a kind of beautiful story. The love of the family is so real and wonderful. Thank you, Freyakendra. Thank you!!!

  2. Absolutely fantastic story! I loved the rambling thought process Joe experienced and yet it all fit together into a picture. The grizzly was a terrific representation of what Joe was feeling and thinking.
    Another great story from you!

  3. Funny the things one remembers. For me, it’s the image of Joe’s hat, skipping across the water, recalled so vividly that I’m sure I’ve read this before. It’s wonderfully well put together, an excellent portrayal of a fevered mind, which makes a unique, but effective narrator.

    1. I’m glad theimage of the hat stayed with you! It was vivid in my head when I wrote it; so I guess I call that a success! 😊

The narration was quite a challenge. I often had to rewrite scenes when I discovered I’d accidentally shifted POV. I’m so glad you found it to work well!

      Thank you!!
