Really enjoyed the story. Great that Hoss got to be the one who had the girl
Author’s Response: Hi Liz, thank you for reading and reviewing the story. Yes, she may not have been the traditional Barbie doll love interest as seen on the series but she loved him and was pure gold herself. Thanks again Krystyna

You really intrigued me with this original, and very realistic character. Just a delightful story, so well written, that it drew me into the world of the Ponderosa. Great job! Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

Author’s Response: At last, yep, got the big man hogtied and surrounded by kids .. glad you enjoyed it, JoeC. Krystyna
Wow! This has been around so long, but it’s the first time I’ve tripped over it — and so enjoyed it! Millie would have been a perfect match for Hoss — I could picture the expressions on his face throughout! Thank you.
Thank you Marion… not only for reading and leaving a comment on this story but for reminding me about it so that I could read it again. I wrote this story even before the days of Bonanzaworld which shows how old it is…It was interesting to me to see if my writing had improved over the years, whether my characterisation of the Cartwrights still stood the test of time. And it was a joy to re.discover Adams little poem and his love for Inger…
So thank you once again, Marion,.I hope you get to read more stories that I have written over the years and enjoy them equally as much…if not more 😉
Now that’s what a Cartwright woman is suppose to be like. Strong, capable, reliable, a fighter. Not these fragile little things that faint and cry at everything. On the show I always thought that the one that fit the role of a Cartwright woman best was Hoss’s mother, Inger. Millie would have fit right in.
Thank you so much, Marilyn, the series did enjoy dishing out women who were no earthly use whatsoever, hence I decided that Miss Millie had to suit a strong man ..I am so glad you agree. Like yourself I have always thought Inger the perfect wife for Ben. Thanks again….
