And Marie, too, probably would have liked a girl, now that she had inherited two boys. But I’m very glad they had a boy as gorgeous as Little Joe LOLLittle Joe foreverLynneAuthor’s Response:Thank you so much, Lynne.  Ben probably would’ve loved to have had a daughter to spoil but thank goodness he and Marie had Little Joe.*

I'm a historical archaeologist who loves westerns and Bonanza is my favorite. I wrote my first Bonanza story in 2006 and the plot bunnies are still hopping. The majority of my stories include the entire family and many are prequels set during the period when Ben and Marie were married.

  1. It’s amazing how adamant Ben and Marie are that the new baby will be a girl. They’re going to be so surprised in a few months! I do love all the names they picked out though. They would have fit perfectly.

  2. The characterizations seem more true to life with each story and the conversations more reminiscent of ones we’ve all had in our own lives.
