Oh this is beautiful!! I love stories that get in the character’s minds like this-it makes me feel like I’m really getting to know them. 😊
This is an interesting story. Thanks
Bittersweet musings for Marie — one does wonder. I’m sure she’s right, and Adam would have welcomed a new little brother. He may have even more easily accepted her, who knows. I could feel the longing in her heart for that other little boy … such a sad thing that events unfolded as they did.
Very nice…thx so much for writing.
Enjoyed the day at the lake and Marie’s reflections on what could have been if Clay “had survived” (and we know he did). One wonders how Clay would have turned out if he hadn’t been taken away from his mother.
Thank you, Ruth.
A perfect day at the lake; even if longing took one back in time to what could have been. Thank you for dreaming and sharing.
Thank you, BWF. I’m glad to know you enjoyed it.
