What a wonderfully crafted story, that compelled this reader to continue reading and wonder just what ‘could’ happen next. Survivor’s guilt was eloquently revealed as the days passed, with the final revelation that you just have to hang on to hope and believe in your family.
Author’s Response:
Thank you! You have to believe in *something,* that’s for sure–family, angels, miracles, a little bit of all three…. π

A spectacular story! Eerie and haunting without being ghoulish. There is no more significant conflict than the battle for a man’s soul, and you portrayed it in riveting style. The plot was well conceived and well developed, and each chapter left me eager to read the next, all the way to the satisfying conclusion with lessons learned by one and all. Bravo!
Author’s Response:

Hello Freya,
I was thinking about this feedback because there are so many details in your story I could write about but to give this feedback in English limits the words I can give.
First of all the story captivated me from the first line to the last. You wrote Joe’s suffering so well. Never you told all. Little by little you showed Joe’s suffering and that made his distress palpable. Also how you built up Joe’s distress and emotional suffering bit by bit because of the talking with Damien Bujold.
Most fascinated I was how you told the reason why Damien got the “Devil”. No one is born as a bad person. Circumstances and destiny makes a human what he is. I love how you worked out this topic.
An other little piece showed me how you think about our C-family. If needed they protect a non family member by “adoption” out of the situation.
I could go on and on with the things I love in your story but I come to the end and can only say THANX. JoeC
Author’s Response:

Second read through of this wonderful story. Enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Quick correction: the Bible verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (not verse 15). Keep writing!
Enjoyed this story!
Another read. Enjoyed it just as much this time. Love your stories!
Captivating! Riveting! Faith in oneself and faith in family all originate from the same place, faith to hope.
