What a good story! The same dream and the same dream scars. I too could never see them hurting each other just as I can never see Joe as a Confederate because of his reaction to the Dredd Scott decision and his vote as a delegate.

This story was both frightening and sorrowful. That particular war has always been just unfathomable to me, and I had a hard time watching the episode where Adam and Joe chose different sides. A reality? For too many yes. Could it have been them . . . the thought is just too horrid, a “nightmare” if you will. Well, you wrote an amazing, entertaining, and thought provoking story. Thank you so much :0)

Yes, I never like the idea of them choosing opposite sides in that horrific war. Just so tragic that so many did find themselves in such a situation. Thank you for such great feedback (sorry it took me a year to respond! ;))

Oh, I can do far scarier than that! Bwa-ha-ha-ha….:D (Maybe it’s ’cause my mother was pregnant with me when they moved into my childhood home, which was–I kid you not–haunted)! I’m glad you enjoyed it! To think it all started when I heard an odd sound in the woods one morning….

It is said that some people can share a dream, but your story made me believe that reality and dreams intermingled… Both brothers actually lived the dream, and lived to tell.

A perfect story for Halloween, when reality and dreams/nightmares merge into one.
