“A one question kinda gal.” LOL! That was priceless. That and Joe staring at his cuticles. Very good, Krystynaw.
Author’s Response: There are so many great mannerisms that ML brought to the character of Joe Cartwright, I try to incorporate as many as I can remember and have to admit that his attitude towards Laura, while not shown on the series, is how I would have imagined he’d have felt. Thank you, Cheaux, glad you enjoyed it. Krystyna

Definitely a realistic portrayal of what very possibly could have happened if the story of Will and Laura had been continued….. 🙂
Author’s Response: Thank you Coochkiss, not only for this review but for all the encouragement you have given me by leaving regular comments when I was posting it in the Reading Room. Krystyna

I’m sure that after this experience that Adam is even more thankful that Laura married Will, and if Adam is that thankful, then I know that Little Joe is even more thankful (If that’s even possible) that Laura is not his sister-in-law.
Maybe if Laura had been more of a frontier woman, Adam would not have stepped aside.
But as for Adam’s newest sacrifice, he is to be commended for knowing what it means to be ‘familiy’.
Author’s Response: L.O.L. BluewindFarm, I should think Joe is ecstatic at knowing Laura is not only his sister in law but also travelling far, far afield. Thank you very much for all the lovely reviews you left me for this when I was posting it as a w.i.p. so glad you enjoyed it. Krystyna
That Laura! She and Will go together quite well, and I’m sure Adam says, “Good riddance!” to both. Peggy, well, not too sure of her yet. May be just like her mama?
Thank you, Bonnie…..yes, Laura was something else wasn’t she? Petulant, I suppose one could say, a life of disappointments so when she had a chance of happiness she suddenly turned into someone who wanted to hit back on everyone for what she had endured before…Adam was saved from a fate worse th an death! In London Cockney slang a wife is referred to as “trouble and strife” – in her case, all too true.
It was a different story. It kept me spellbound. I read it in one sitting. Excellent weather descriptions. I’ve,t like I was there. There was a slight continuity issue toward the end. I don’t want to say much more. I don’t want to run afoul of the Bonanza Brand Review Policy.
Thank you for your skillful storytelling.
Hi Ms Sari, and many thanks for your review of the story. It was written some years back, I have to admit, so I will have to re=read it to see what the continuity issue would be….no one else has ever picked up on it, you see, so I am intrigued. However, that aside, I am very pleased that you enjoyed it and yes, the weather conditions were pretty grim, weren’t they? Hope to hear from you again some time…
Awesome story. I enjoyed it very much. Don’t know why I expected it to be a little bit light hearted, but it turned out to be quite dramatic. I was nervous the entire story. Thanks for such a good one (as usual)
.
Thank you for leaving a comment about this story…I thought that with Laura in the frame it would be quite fun, but then Peggy became a consideration too..and it kind of turned into something more dramatic. Really pleased you enjoyed it, thank you again
Enjoyed this story. Hard subject matter. Worried Adam the entire story.
Thank you, Neano. Really appreciated that you read and left a review for this little story.
