Old Library Reviews
BluewindFarm:07 Jan 2014 05:28 pm Oh boy, the Cartwrights have no idea what they are in for once Joe grows up. A truly precious story of childhood.

Good story.
I do know the old remedy of hot water, gin and honey works great on a bad cough…. hot tea is good but it needs the gin and honey too.

Date: 23 Apr 2011 12:26 am Title: A Spoonful of Medicine I’m not a computer person – my review just “disappeared”, so I’ll try this again. This was a re-read, but I loved it just as much as the first time through and I had my usual chortles. LJ as a child is just priceless. Yours is the first story I’ve read on BB now that I’ve joined – still feeling bad about BW and all of Emmy’s work. I just don’t understand how this can happen.
Author’s Response:Wow, Janet! I’m truly honored that you chose to read one of my stories first. And I’m glad to know it’s one that gives you a laugh. What happened to BW is awful–the site is gone along with all of those wonderful stories that could only be found there. I hope you’ll enjoy re-reading many of your favorites from many of your favorite writers here in the BB Library.*

Author’s Response:Thank you, mohegan, for reading again and letting me know you enjoyed this story just as much. I’m thrilled and honored to know this is one of your favorites.*

This is such a cute story!
Loved this story! I could imagine Joe doing something just like this.
A good laugh. That would be little Joe.
I loved it! That was so hilarious!
That was so adorable! I guess Joe needed medicine too!
That was so funny! One of my kids once drank an entire bottle of antibiotics out of the fridge so I can relate to this. I reckon Joe would have been a handful as a child.
What a sweet little story! I really enjoyed reading about a three year old Little Joe, and as little as he is – he already has formed that special personality 🙂
Lovely!
Thank you, Foreverfree. I’m happy to know this glimpse of little Little Joe is a hint of the man he’ll become.
This story is so cute. I can imagine Little Joe doing that lol.
Thank you, TAM393. I’m pleased to know you enjoyed this little story.
This is really cute. I can see Little Joe doing just that very thing. If it was good enough for Mama it was good enough for him too. Besides that it had candy in it! Ben was clever in asking if Joe had tasted the peppermint syrup. To a three year old that’s what it was. I enjoy your stories.
Thank you, Jaspers Mom. Young Little Joe must have been into everything. I’m glad to know you enjoyed this little story.
