I can’t imagine Joe that careless anymore than I can imagine Hoss running a bank. But it was an enjoyable supposition of the future, and I liked reading form Marie’s point of view.Author’s Response: Thank you, slaine. It’s hard to think of Hoss as anything but a rancher, but, at the time of Marie’s dream, anything was possible for her sons. I’m glad to know you enjoyed it.*

Good story!Author’s Response:Thank you, mohegan.  I’m so pleased to know you enjoyed this story.  If only Ben had known that he’d look just like he did in her dream (lol).*

Quite the descriptive nightmare, I don’t usually remember anything about my dreams that clearly.Author’s Response:Thank you, PBfan15.  I remember some of my dream quite vividly for days and others I forget shortly after waking up.  Thank you for letting me know you enjoyed this story.

I'm a historical archaeologist who loves westerns and Bonanza is my favorite. I wrote my first Bonanza story in 2006 and the plot bunnies are still hopping. The majority of my stories include the entire family and many are prequels set during the period when Ben and Marie were married.

  1. Oh dear. Yes, why *had* his hair gone completely silver? Might the reason have started with ‘Little Joe’? 😀

Fun little glimpse of a possible future through Marie’s eyes. Thx for writing!

  2. Love re-reading this story! New Orleans just had their parade this past Saturday! The Mardi Gras ends tomorrow, the day before Ash Wednesday. Nice job, Patina!
