Good twist, taking the law into their hands, still got me very interested

Author’s Response:

Thank you for your reviews on this story! I do apologize for my delay in reponding, but please know I truly appreciate every review! I read them all pretty much right away (as long as the auto emails work, which sometimes doesn’t happen), but I often see them on my phone, and then by the time I get “free” time on the computer…well…time does get away from me! So, yes, this is a late response; but your reviews have been highly appreciated! 🙂

  1. This is a wonderful story! It was rousing and riveting. It makes me think of all of the everyday heroes among us who never seek fame or glory. They just quietly do the work, risking their lives to help others. Thank you for this uncommonly excellent and inspiring story. You are so very talented. I look forward to reading more of your talented works! It deeply touched me!

  2. Aww this story was so good , just when i think i have a favourite i read another of your works and change my mind !
So i will have many favourites in your story list and this one has just been added .

  3. Many of your stories are among my favorites. However, when I think “Freyakendra”–this is the story that I always think of first. So good in so many ways.

  4. Just read this on WWB (along with the witty prelude), but wanted to leave my comments here. Terrific, well-plotted story which reminded me in mood of “The Real People of Muddy Creek,” where folks rose above circumstances to become true heroes and along the way discovered more about themselves than they ever thought possible.

You wrote many turns of phrase that just sang; among my favorites was: “He pumped Liam’s hand with enough force to pull water clear out of bedrock if that hand had been attached to a well.” So descriptive!

Definitely a story to place on my re-read list. Thank you, Freya!
