Who Kidnapped Joseph Cartwright?

“Morning pa,” said Joe taking a seat at the table for breakfast.

“Morning Joe, today I need you to do me favor,” ordered Ben finishing his breakfast.

“Sure pa,” replied Joe. “Hoss! Stop eating all the food!” he yelled taking some of Hoss’s food, and quarreling began to fill the house.

“Boys, stop that this minute!” yelled Ben breaking the argument. “Hoss and Adam go help the hands with the cattle.”

“Yes pa,” said Adam and Hoss finishing their coffee. Quickly they snatched up their hats, and walked out the door.

“And Joe-“Ben began.

“Pa I think I’ll get to work,” Joe interrupted nervously. Guessing he was in trouble, but he wasn’t sure what he did… this time. He was about to dash to the door, but Ben stopped him.

“Joe I need you to go to Carson City and get the lumber order,” explained Ben.

“But pa,” complained Joe.

“No buts,” said Ben leaving the house.

“Ok do we all know our parts?” asked Annie kicking the dirt with her high-top boots. (Annie K Cowgirl)

“Yeah!” answered Sarah (Rider) excitedly trying to make out the sound of a horse.

“Nope, wait what are we doing again?” asked Katie (DanceDiva234), who had way to much sugar in her coffee for one morning.

“Ok, I’ll explain it again,” said Annie. “Joe is coming by here at exactly 12:00 noon. When he does come in our sights, Sarah will be “The Damsel in Distress,” or in other words Sarah will be on the side of the rode. Joe will get off his horse to come help her, and when he does you and I will put this bag over his head, tie him up, and take him back to our hide out. “Does that answer your question?”

“Yup!” she said happily.

“He’s coming!” exclaimed Sarah as she pretended to cry walking towards her one true love.

“Are you ok?” asked Joe who was still on his horse.

“No, I feel faint.” replied Sarah acting like a desperate young woman.

Joe got off his horse and reached out to Sarah, while Annie and Katie jumped out off the bushes, and put the bag on his head. “Tie him up!” shouted Annie. Katie tied up Joe, and the three girls took him to their secret hide out. But as they kept their path Little Joe was knocked out on accident by Katie, who hit his head against a tree.

Two long days passed, until finally Joe woke up to Katie poking him in the head.

“Morning sleeping beauty,” greeted Katie joyfully.

“Who are you girls,” asked Joe.

“We like SJS,” Katie randomly replied.

“What’s that,” questioned Joe, who was now very confused.

“Suffering Joe Syndrome,” explained Katie.

Sarah came walking in the room eating some toast, but she threw it on the ground, and charged to the bed like a bull.

“Yay! You’re awake!!!” cheered Sarah. “Annie he’s awake!”

“Really!” said Annie as she ran over to Joe. “We thought you were dead!”

“Ok I know you gals have SJS, but what are your names.” asked Joe still confused as all three of them drooled over him. All three of them are going to need some mops.

“That’s Annie, that’s Sarah, and I’m Katie!”

“Come on boys.” Shouted Ben his sons where done looking at one side of the woods.

“Pa do you think they hurt Joe.” Hoss gulped fearing the worst.

“I hope not.” Ben’s baritone boomed as they headed for an abandoned cabin. “Those gals can be awful dangerous

“Joe, do you want more coffee?” asked Sarah sweetly.

“Sure.” replied Joe his eating eggs.

The door opened slowly and Ben, Adam, and Hoss appeared in the door way pointing their guns.

“Joe are you alright?” asked Ben looking at his sons bandage on his head.

“I’m fine.” replied Joe walking over to his family.

“So Joe who kept you here all this time?” asked Hoss looking around the small house but saw see no one.

“These girls, they like SJS.” replied Joe. “Girls come out of your hiding spots.”

“Hello…” said Sarah slowly.

“Do you know how much trouble you girls are in!” yelled Ben

“A lot.” The three girls said sadly.

“Who bandaged your head?” asked Adam.

“Katie,” Joe replied pointing to her.

“Hi.” Katie said.

“Well, lets get you home Joseph.” said Ben.

“Wait pa, you guys wait outside I want to say good bye to the girls.” Joe insisted leaving the rest of the three men to walk outside.

“Bye girls.” Joe gave each one of them a kiss, and walked outside with the rest of him family as they rode away.

“I love him,” said the girls in a dreamy fashion.
