Sadie Hawkins Dance
Boy was I in trouble. I don’t even know how I had gotten myself into this mess. Here I stand, a sixteen year old, soon to be a man and I am in this position. Sure I had been in trouble many times before, but never like this. I always knew when to stop. I’m not saying that I haven’t stood in this position a time or two before, well maybe more than that, but never, never for this reason. It all began an hour and a half ago when the school held a dance.
This was not like any dance. The girls were supposed to ask the boys to this dance. I wasn’t even going to go. My brother Hoss was so excited however because he had been asked my Bess. Being ten years old and asked to a dance by a twelve year old seemed to get his ego going. He gloated and chided me until I accepted an invitation from Melissa. She was seventeen and graduating this year. She was nice, and defiantly pretty enough, but my heart belonged to Jolene. Jolene was striking, her hair a dark shade of red, nearly brown but touched just right by the sun. Her eyes were a sparkling blue and when she spoke I could hear nothing else. But the dance was tomorrow and she had not asked me. So I accepted the invitation from Melissa to shut Hoss up.
Pa thought the idea was grand, Hoss and I attending a dance with our dates. This was Hoss’s first dance, he wore his best Sunday suit. I too wore my best and was meant to chaperone Hoss to the party. My step mother Marie fawned and fussed over us before we could make our exit. Finally with little Joe screaming behind us we were able to drive the buck board out of the house. We were to pick up our dates in an hour, that meant we were already running behind. Hoss tapped his foot and talked of nothing but Bess the whole way there. I was ready to tape his mouth shut by the time we hit Bess’s door.
Hoss jumped out of the wagon and ran to meet his date. He escorted her properly to the wagon and helped her up. He was very gentlemanly and I swear I saw her wink at me as she climbed in. He sat with her in the wagon and I could hear them talking and laughing while we passed Jolene’s house. I didn’t mean to slow down, I guess part of me did that subconsciously. I was surprised to see her open the door and wave to me to stop. She looked amazing. She wore a blue dress with white lace around the trim. It was snug in all the right places. Her blue eyes sparkled as she came up to the stopped wagon and pet the horses. I heard Hoss in the background mumbling something about being late, but I wasn’t exactly sure. In that dress Jolene didn’t leave much to the imagination, but that didn’t mean I didn’t use my imagination to complete the ensemble. Next thing I knew she had climbed in beside me smiling that gorgeous smile.
We drove on to the school house which was decorated and looked quite nice. The music was already playing as we walked towards the building. Hoss grabbed my arm on the way in and said something about Melissa, but Jolene was now far ahead of me and I was lost in watching her walk away. How I loved to watch her walk away. I kept step behind her, pushing Hoss’s hand off my arm and followed her to the refreshments table. She handed me a glass which I drank quickly. She giggled at me as I consumed another glass of punch. It left a funny taste in my mouth as it went down, but I didn’t really notice too much because there I was imagining again. After the third glass she pulled me towards the dance floor. I was lost for the next hour in those eyes and that smile. We danced every song, I was in heaven. I felt light and loose as we floated around the dance floor.
The music stopped and the party went out for some air. Jolene asked how I felt and I told her wonderful. Hoss was grabbing my arm again, so I turned to push him off when suddenly I met the wrath of Melissa. She had walked over to the dance after I failed to arrive. She had seen me dancing with Jolene and she was laying in to me. The funny thing was I couldn’t hear her. In fact the whole room had started to spin as she stood yelling in my face. A crowd had gathered around us as I tried to gather by bearings. Just as I thought I was going to fall over Melissa slapped my face. Caught off guard I fell forwards knocking Melissa down. I tried to get up when a schoolmate grabbed me and flung me off of Melissa. I stood up slowly, my head still spinning and saw Jolene.
Walking towards her to apologize for the commotion I tripped over someone and fell into Jolene accidently grabbing the front of her dress as I fell. Her dress came apart in the front exposing, well what wasn’t really hidden anyway. She screamed and turned running from the party. I did my best to follow finally catching up with her at the road.
I grabbed her arm to apologize for the dress when she slapped my other cheek. Melissa from behind pushed me hard towards Jolene, she caught me, letting go of her dress, which now reached her ankles, and well my head rested in a nice spot. Well for me anyway. And that is the scene my father rode up on. Jolene had her dress around her ankles and was holding my head between her bosoms as Melissa screamed at me saying what a pig I was.
What happened next I don’t really remember. But now here I am with my britches around my ankles getting ready to take a licking from my father. Never again will I go to a dance like that. Never again will a woman ask me to a dance. What a mess. The only thing that will make this night get any better is when I picture Jolene once again. Imagination is sometimes the key to happiness.

This was fun and cute. I guess Adam had a nice warm butt for the night, and a nice image to ease his pain. Thanks
I can’t stop giggling. This is priceless. And I’m quite sure Adam is using his imagination right now and will for some time to come.
Thank goodness for imaginations! They truly do make life more enjoyable.
