The Ponderosa Pines stand mighty and high,
Their beauty stretches far beyond the Sky;
At times they speak of what can’t be seen,
Of beginnings and never endings and what lies between;
They cast their giant shadow of protection
To shield me against the weight of infliction;
Through their boughs the heavy winds blow,
The seedlings of truth and faith in me they sow;
Their whispers remind me I am never alone,
‘tis among this family of trees I find my home.
Stalwart and strong like the Ponderosa Pines
So is the Cartwrights’ love unyielding in every clime;
Within this family’s warm welcoming walls,
They declare ‘it’s all for one and one for all’;
‘No one is a stranger here, so welcome friend,
We will be with you at the end.’
Lovely poem to remember the Cartwrights by.
Beautiful! The family is lovingly tied to their land. May the Cartwrights be on the land for as long as the Ponderosa Pines are.
Thank-you so much AC. 🙂
Yes, the Cartwrights are really like the Ponderosa pines, lovingly tied to their homeland and to each other.
