Here is my contribution for Day 4 – a bit of Christmas fun, limerick style:

Ponderosa Christmas
(Limerick Style)

My sons will not let me be,
On this day we hunt for our tree
“The fattest and biggest”,
Says Joseph, the littlest
Will it fit through the door? Glory be!

The turkey runs through the yard.
He couldn’t let down his guard.
If he loses his momentum,
Then Hop Sing will get him.
And he’ll be served with a pile of Swiss Chard.

Adam and Hoss sneak around,
Hiding their tracks on the ground.
In the barn? Oh, oh.
In the attic? No, no.
Where will they hide the found hound?

Pa reads the Story of Christmas Morn’
When God’s son on earth was born.
We celebrate with songs,
‘Til our hound sings along,
And Pa begins to mourn.
