Farewell (by idmarryhoss)

Summary:  A short story situated in a toggled Bonanza-verse where Hoss has a helping wife, this short story is a little journey to ask why Adam left, what urged him to go and why he would have been troubled. It’s a skill to love and respect, but it’s yet another skill to say farewell, to wish a happy voyage.  K for the lack of any disturbing or impolite diction; the story is much mature in its theme, though, I hope.

Borderdance (by idmarryhoss)

Summary:  Continuation to the story of Borderland, though possible to catch as a stand-alone, too. Here, Hoss lives the love and the marriage he has chosen. A love story, but also a story of something more. A romance written by a person not romantic at all. Contains some mature passages and difficult scenes, and old age character death.

PG-13 is for implications of intimate relationship, and story is recommended only for mature readers who can cope with mature writing.  Rated: T (47,785 words)

Borderland (by idmarryhoss)

A Circle of Family: The Book of Hoss (by MissJudy)

Summary: This is the third of the four stories revolving around Adam’s Bible (the Bible Elizabeth had used when she was young.) The Bible was thought ruined in The Book of Joseph, but was restored in The Book of Ben, and is now ready to be sent to Adam in Boston. Ben tells his middle son that he should write Adam a letter to enclose along with the Bible. But after Hoss has a particularly miserable day tending his sick brother and father, he pens a letter to Adam letting him know exactly how he feels.

It is not necessary to read the other stories to enjoy this one. Each book provides a look at love and lessons learned in the young Cartwright family. Thank you for reading.

Rating: K  (6,565 words)
