Welcome to the 2026 Ponderosa Paddlewheel Poker Tournament! Begun in 2013, this cherished challenge has resulted in numerous stories being added to the library that have made fans laugh, cry, or tremble in fear at a villian’s evil exploits.
A deck of 52 cards is used per table (up to five players at each table). This year the game was 7-Card Stud. Each card in the deck was assigned a word or phase that had to be used in the story. Jokers had no assigned word or phrase.
The stories this year are:
A poll will be opened on August 20 for you to select your favorite story . . . and by “favorite” we mean the story that resonated most with you. Did it make you laugh? Cry? Smile? Bring back memories? In short, the story that struck a chord within you.
After the Tournament winner(s) are announced, the author’s name will replace “VCLS” and the story will be added to their author page.
